Guthrie County Deputy Sheriff Matt Losee reported a two-vehicle accident occurring on Feb. 21 at 6:42 p.m. in Jamaica. Edgar Henry Benedict, 61, of Dawson, was driving a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan S and was backing out of the driveway at 301 Adams St. in Jamaica and hit a 2014 Chevy Impala owned by Curtis William Radebaugh, leaving the scene and causing an estimated $2,000 in damage. The accident report stated Benedict later admitted he was driving the Caravan and said he thought he hit a rock. Benedict received citations for leaving the scene of an accident and failure to provide proof of insurance.
