Guthrie County Deputy Sheriff Matt Losee reported a motorcycle vs. deer accident occurring on Sept. 5 at 4:50 p.m. on Highway 44. Brad Allen Archer, 37, of Indianola, was driving a 2019 Indian Scout motorcycle eastbound when he struck a deer, causing him to fall off and come to rest in the middle of the highway. Archer had head, stomach and arm injuries and was transported by EMS before being flown to Mercy Hospital via life flight. Estimated damage to the motorcycle is $6,000.
