The Nov. 3 election (“midterm election”) is just around the corner. If you plan to vote, the Guthrie County governmental website (www.guthriecounty.gov) is worth checking out. Once there, you can click on “Elections” to find links to a variety of resources and answers, including:
- Am I registered?
- Registering to vote
- How to vote
- Voting precincts
- Absentee voting
- Military/overseas voting
- Voter ID
- Sample ballots for each precinct are also available
Following the election, results will be posted there as well.
Guthrie County includes six voting precincts, as follows (to view a sample ballot for your precinct, simply click on one of the precincts listed below):
Bayard precinct (population 838)
Casey precinct (population 1286)
Guthrie Center precinct (population 2124)
Panora precinct (population 2131)
Stuart precinct (population 2123)
Yale precinct (population 2121)
Important dates
Although Tuesday, Nov. 3 is Election Day, there is no need to wait until Nov. 3 to vote.
Beginning Oct. 14, registered voters in Guthrie County can vote early by going to the Guthrie County Auditor’s office at the county courthouse. Voters can also request a ballot to vote by mail.
