On Sunday afternoon, Aug. 23, a fun and safety-minded event was held for kids at the Panora town square. Deputy Blake Michelsen gave a group of young bicycle riders safety tips about helmets and riding in town. Kids then rode their bikes through several paths drawn on the street to teach bike safety. Kid-friendly games were set up on the town square. Attendees were also treated to popcorn and root beer floats as a last bit of summer fun before the school bells ring.
