Approximately 50 people attended the Sloss family reunion on Aug. 3 at the Guthrie Center Activity Center. The event brought together members of the family tree of Samuel Sloss, Sr. and Mary (Bunting) Sloss.
Doug Rutherford gave a prayer before the meal. Kay Thomas presented to Sam Sloss a framed picture of Samuel Sloss, Jr. and Mary (Bunting) Sloss. Doug Rutherford headed up a program of Sloss history. Memorabilia and copied stories were available for all to enjoy.
Family attended from Guthrie Center, Perry, Yale, Adair, Casey, Des Moines, Urbandale, Ankeny, Pleasant Hill, Ames, and Granger, Iowa; Hillsborough, North Carolina; Mt. Juliet and Portland, Tennessee; Bentonville, Arkansas; and Lancaster, Ohio.
