At approximately 7:45 p.m., on Tuesday, June 2, Guthrie Center firefighters responded to a structure fire at the Guthrie County Secondary Roads facility at 2211 215th Road in Guthrie Center.
The cause of the fire and full extent of damage to the facilities and equipment is currently unknown. No injuries were reported. County officials are working to evaluate the impact on Secondary Roads operations and will provide additional information as it becomes available.
“We are grateful for the quick response of Guthrie Center Fire, Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, Adair and Guthrie County EMA and Panora EMS,” Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern said. “Now, our immediate focus is assessing the damage so we can determine next steps.”
