Buena Vista freshman guard Tyme Boettcher has started all three of the team’s games to begin the 2024-25 season under first-year coach Kylee Boettcher, and she is off to a hot start to her collegiate career.

Boettcher, a 2024 graduate of Panorama High School, is averaging 15.3 ppg, ,8.0 rpg and 2.7 apg as the Beavers are off to a 1-2 start overall.

In her collegiate debut on Nov. 9 at home versus Northwestern-St. Paul (Minn.), she posted her first career double-double by tying for a team-high with 20 points and grabbing a team-leading 11 rebounds as the Beavers came up just short, 62-59.

She posted a team-high 12 points on Nov. 15 during a road loss at Martin Luther before chiming in with 14 points, including three made free-throws with 0.2 seconds remaining in regulation, as BVU went on to top Bethany Lutheran in overtime, 83-82, on Nov. 16.

Through the first week of the season, Boettcher finds herself ranked eighth in the American Rivers Conference in scoring, sixth in rebounding and 11th in assists per game. She’s also shooting 85.7% from the free-throw line (12-of-14) and ranks eighth.

Buena Vista is set to host games this week against Macalester College (Nov. 19) and Barclay College (Nov. 23).
