The ACGC softball team (7-22) won in the Region 4 First Round at home against Treynor (2-19) on Monday, July 6. The game was deadlocked until Treynor scored one run in the top of the third inning to take a 1-0 lead. ACGC quickly punched back, scoring four runs. Treynor adding another run in the fourth, with ACGC hitting back again with another eight runs.

Jerzee Huss and Kailee Kautzky had three RBIs apiece and multi-hit games. Trinity Calhoun went 2/2 with two RBIs. Karli Kautzky had one RBI. Caydence Boals and Megan Underwood both had multi-hit performances as well. Underwood also pitched all four innings, striking out two batters.

The girls travel to Riverside (23-5) on Wednesday, July 8 for the Class 2A Region 4 Quarterfinals. These teams last met in 2023, a 9-2 win for Riverside.
