The ACGC softball team (6-22) secured a much-needed home win over Coon Rapids-Bayard (7-10) on Friday, July 3. The win will help give the Chargers some momentum heading into the playoffs. ACGC did a majority of its damage in the second inning, scoring seven runs. ACGC piled on five more runs in the fourth inning to seal the win.
Jerzee Huss and Kailee Kautzky led the offense with two RBIs each. Kailee Kautzky had a multi-hit game, going 2/3 with a single and a double. Other RBIs came from Caydence Boals, Karli Kautzky, Slaybaugh, Kiera Boals and Megan Underwood. The girls stole six basses. Megan Underwood pitched all four innings, striking out three batters and earning the win.
