No. 2 ACGC football (8-0) went undefeated in the regular season for the second year in a row after its 40-7 win at home over Southwest Valley (1-7) on Friday, Oct. 18. Jathan South went 5/6 passing for 104 yards and one touchdown, thrown to Joe Crawford. Crawford had four catches for 69 yards. The team’s main bulk of offense, as per usual, came on the ground. Crawford also led the team in rushing yards with six carries for 120 yards and one score. Mike Fuller was close behind with 11 carries for 108 yards and two TDs. Jathan South had seven carries for 70 yards and one score. Freshman Kinnick Froelich also found the endzone as part of his four carries and 15 yards. Carter Richter was a force on defense, leading the team in tackles, with 6.5, and tackles for losses, with 2.5. The defense lived in the Southwest Valley backfield, with 11 total tackles for losses. Jack Sheeder recovered a fumble, and South had an interception. ACGC will host Wayne (5-3) in the first round of the playoffs on Friday, Oct. 25.
