The ACGC girls track and field team hosted the Gonzales-Parrish Invitational on Thursday, April 30. The girls placed third with 122 points. IKM-Manning won the meet with 171.5 points.
ACGC won two events: Cadence Petersen in the 400-meter hurdles and the sprint medley relay with Elizabeth Drake, Tessa Slaybaugh, Lillie Lauzon and Blair Brown. Silver medals were won by Brooklyn Schafer in the 1500-meter run, Petersen in the high jump and the 4×100-meter relay team of Meranda Gruber, Savannah Akers, Lauzon and Nora Langgaard. The girls won a flurry of bronze medals by Caydence Boals in both discus and shot put, Slaybaugh in the long jump, the 4×200-meter relay team of Gruber, Akers, Petersen and Langgaard, the 4×400-meter relay team of Petersen, Lauzon, Brown and Akers and the 4×800-meter relay team of Kennedy Reinhart, Megan Underwood, Kiera Boals and Brynnlee Seeck. The girls next meet is at home for the West Central Activities Conference Meet on Tuesday, May 5. ACGC will host WCAC teams Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Interstate 35, Madrid, Ogden, Panorama, Pleasantville, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger.
