ACGC (14-9) saw its post-season run come to an end against Lynnville-Sully (23-1) in the 1A District 13 championship game at Lincoln High School in Des Moines on Feb. 20. The Chargers tried to mount a comeback in the third quarter but couldn’t make it over the hump against a tough Hawks team.
Luckily for ACGC, some of their best talent will be returning next season, as their three leading scorers in this game were all juniors. Noah Kading led the way, with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Jathan South had 12 points and 5 rebounds, and Payton Policky had 9 points and 6 rebounds.
