The ACGC boys track and field team hosted the Gonzales-Parrish Invitational on Thursday, April 30. The Chargers won the meet scoring 155 points. Greene County was the next closest team with 141 points.
The boys won six events at the meet. Golds went to Brexton Schneider in the 110-meter hurdles, Preston Kent in the 1600- and 3200-meter runs, Jack Sheeder in the shot put, the 4×110-meter shuttle hurdle team of Collin Stringham, Morgun Nolte, Thomas Skram and Schneider and the 4×800-meter relay team of Johnny Kading, Lane Stringer, Cole Van Meter and Jameson Pfrang. The team also earned several silvers: Ryan Martens in the 100-meter dash, Morgun Nolte in the 110-meter hurdles, the sprint medley relay team of Joe Crawford, Schneider, Skram and Talon Noland, the 4×100-meter relay team of Crawford, Schneider, Skram and Noland and the 4×200-meter relay team of Crawford, Ryan Martens, Kaden Sorensen and Noland. ACGC won one bronze in the distance medley with Nolte, Nathan Van Effen, Kading and Kent. Full results can be found HERE.
The next meet for ACGC is at home for the West Central Activities Conference Meet on Tuesday, May 5, The Chargers compete against Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Interstate 35, Madrid, Ogden, Panorama, Pleasantville, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger.
