The ACGC girls cross country team placed eighth in a field of 11 teams and the boys finished seventh at the West Central Activities Conference Meet Oct. 16 in Guthrie Center. Des Moines Christian placed first in both races with 34 points in the girls race and 26 in the boys race.

The Charger girls finished with 206 points. Other top-three team finishers were Van Meter (77) and Madrid (84). Cadence Petersen led the way for the team, finishing 26th (22:55.03). Brooklyn Schafer posted a time of 23:35.52, followed by Lillie Lauzon (25:06.43); Chelsea Kopaska (27:02.93); and Kennedy Reinhart (27:28.56).

The boys finished with 204 points. Placing second and third were Earlham (47) and Van Meter (84). Preston Kent, in seventh place, was the top Charger finisher in a time of 17:40.12. Adam Brown came in 58th (21:14.14), followed by Jameson Pfrang (21:35.57); Cameron Mozingo (22:15.70); Bryce Benda (22:47.42); Stetson Ellis (23:15.47); and Dayton Crawley (24:13.57).
