The ACGC football team (3-0) traveled to Nodaway Valley (0-3) on Friday, Sept. 11 and held the host to no points en route to a big victory.
Andrew Baumert did most of the damage on the ground for the Chargers with 16 carries for 160 yards and one TD. Will Skram and Ryder Cline both had 69 yards and one TD each. Cline also had all three of the Chargers receptions for 22 yards. Stringer led in tackles with eight total and six solo. Tackles for loss were one apiece by Stringer, Cline, Ty Ganzer and Carson Lovelace. Ganzer forced a fumble, and Gavin Pederson recovered. Cole Van Meter had a pick six.
The next game for the Chargers is at home against Mount Ayr (1-3) on Friday, Sept. 18. ACGC beat Mount Ayr twice last season, once in the regular season, 28-20, and once in the playoffs, 21-7.
