On Monday, June 3, at Panorama High School, the ACGC boys baseball team (0-6) made several comeback attempts against Panorama (3-6) but ultimately fell short. ACGC took an early 2-0 lead, but Panorama battled back to make it 6-2. The Chargers didn’t give up there and brought the game to 6-6 with four runs in the top of the fifth. Three more runs from Panorama meant ACGC was heading into the seventh down 9-6. Two final runs made the game close and surely made Panorama fans sweat, but it was not enough to get the win. Noah Kading did most of the damage for ACGC. His three RBIs and two hits kept ACGC in the game. Blaize Dorsey had with two RBIs, while Tommy Skram and Ben Franzeen both contributed one. Tegan Slaybaugh and Andrew Mahaffey split time on the mound. Mahaffey pitched four innings and struck out three batters. Slaybaugh pitched the other two innings, recording five strikeouts. ACGC will take the field against West Central Valley (4-7) at home tonight, June 4.
