ACGC baseball (2-23) battled away from home against Lynnville-Sully (23-3) on Saturday, July 6. The Chargers tied the game, 1-1, at the top of the third inning. Lynnville-Sully quickly answered in the bottom of the third, taking the lead, 2-1, and adding two more runs in the fourth inning to take a 4-1 lead. ACGC attempted a comeback, scoring two runs in the sixth inning, but Lynnville-Sully answered back quickly again with four more runs, cementing its win, and the end of the Chargers’ season. RBIs for ACGC came from Andrew Mahaffey, Blaize Dorsey and Colton Clark. Tegan Slaybaugh spent the entire game on the mound for ACGC, throwing 102 pitches and striking out three batters.
