The ACGC baseball team (3-6) lost an in-conference matchup at Woodward-Granger (5-5) on Monday, June 8. ACGC held a three-run lead, 8-5, heading into the final inning. W-G rallied to score four runs and steal a win away from the Chargers.
Bryce Benda led the Chargers on offense with two hits (one single and one double) and four RBIs. Sayer Bireline-Huss, Cal Clark and Thomas Skram all contributed with one RBI apiece. Runs were scored by Blaize Dorsey and Bireline-Huss with two, and Joseph Fagan, Chase Slaybaugh, Cal Clark and Colton Clark with one each. Thomas Skram pitched the majority of the game at five innings, striking out four batters. Slaybaugh, Clark and Benda finished out the game.
ACGC returns home to face Madrid (5-3) tonight, Tuesday, June 9. ACGC swept the season series against Madrid last year, winning both games 8-4 and 17-12.
