The ACGC softball team hosted Glidden-Ralston (5-1) on Wednesday, June 11. Neither squad recorded a run until the fifth inning when both teams scored three. Glidden-Ralston scored three more in the sixth inning, putting the game out of reach for the Chargers. Despite the loss, the big win over Madrid earlier in the week, and a close contest against a well above .500 Wildcat squad, signs are pointing in the right direction for ACGC. Olivia Mahaffey led the team in RBIs with two. Karli Kautzky knocked in the team’s other run. Runs were scored by Kailee Kautzky, Belle Fagan and Mahaffey. Caydence Boals and Fagan each had a stolen base. Camdyn Richter spent all seven innings on the mound. She had three strikeouts and gave up one earned run in the start.
