The ACGC volleyball team (15-2) earned a home win over conference foe Pleasantville (12-5) on Tuesday, Sept. 17. ACGC won the first set in dominating fashion, 25-8, then lost the next two sets to fall behind, 2-1. ACGC won a close fourth set and the deciding fifth set, 16-14, to knock off the Trojans.

Kailee Kautzky had 33 of the Chargers 39 assists. Stella Largent continued her dominating senior season with 30 kills. During the game, Largent reached a massive milestone of 1,500 career kills. Blair Brown had the next most kills with eight. Ilana Baumert led in digs with 18. Rylee Robson had the next most with nine. The Chargers had seven total blocks, with Nora Langgaard leading with three. Baumert also led in aces with six. Brown was close behind with four.

The win keeps ACGC atop the West Central Activities Conference with a perfect 5-0 record to start the season. Van Meter sits behind them at 11-2 (3-0). The next set of games for the girls is at the Carroll Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19. Other teams at the tournament will be Audubon, Carroll, Fort Dodge, IKM-Manning, Newell-Fonda, South Central Calhoun and Storm Lake.
