ACGC girls basketball (13-1) defeated Panorama (9-6) at home on Friday, Jan. 24. The double-digit win came as a result of the Chargers’ efforts on the glass. ACGC outrebounded Panorama 44-28. ACGC’s 28 offensive rebounds equaled Panorama’s total. The Chargers (29.4%) had a lower field goal percentage in the game than the Panthers (31%). ACGC’s rebounding efforts resulted in the team taking 24 more shots than its opponent. Camdyn Richter led the game in scoring with 13 points. Stella Largent joined her in double figures and earned a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Shay Lemke nearly had a triple-double, with eight points, eight rebounds, and a game-high seven assists.

ACGC had a quick turnaround and traveled to face Clarinda (7-9) on Monday, Jan. 27. ACGC won the game, 53-44. The Chargers were down at the start of the first quarter, 13-10, but tied the game at 19-19 heading into the half, eventually pulling away in the second half. It was Camdyn Richter’s turn in this game to grab a double-double. Richter had a game-high in points with 16, and a game-high in rebounds with 12. Stella Largent joined her in double-figure scoring with 12 points. ACGC will host Ogden (1-15) tonight, Jan. 28, making up the game that was postponed earlier this season.
