The ACGC girls cross country team competed at its first meet of the season at the Southeast Valley Invite on Thursday, Aug. 27. The girls did not have enough runners to place at the meet. Madrid won the meet with 28 points. Camdyn Coffman had the best ACGC time, finishing 12th in 22:46. Her time was also the third best among all freshmen.
Other ACGC finishes were Cadence Petersen, 29th in 24:47; Lillie Lauzon, 33rd in 25:21 and Brooklyn Schafer, 44th in 26:03.
The next meet for the girls is the Woodward-Granger Cross Country Meet on Thursday, Sept. 1. ACGC races against Baxter, CAM, Clarke Community, Collins-Maxwell, Des Moines North, Perry, Saydel and Woodward-Granger.
