The ACGC boys cross country team had its first meet of the season at the Southeast Valley Invite on Thursday, Aug. 27. Preston Kent led the Chargers, and the entire field, finishing first in 17:24, a full 12 seconds ahead of the second-place runner. As a team, ACGC placed ninth with 226 points. Fort Dodge won the meet with 49.

Other ACGC finishes were: Jonny Kading, 41st in 20:34; Jameson Pfrang, 64th in 21:38; Bryce Benda, 68th in 22:01; Carver Johnston, 72nd in 22:11; Ryne Noland, 73rd in 22:14; Meyer Chance, 79th in 22:45; Cameron Mozingo, 83rd in 23:03; Leo Mendoza, 91st in 23:32; Dayton Crawley, 93rd in 23:36; Adam Brown, 118th in 25:53; and Tai Riordan, 124thin 26:25.

The next meet for the boys is at Woodward-Granger on Tuesday, Sept. 1. ACGC will run against Baxter, CAM, Clarke Community, Collins-Maxwell, Perry, Saydel and Woodward-Granger.
