Fresh off of the Panorama girls basketball team historic run to the 2A IGHSAU state championship game, head coach Kylee Boettcher is heading to Storm Lake to be the head coach of Buena Vista University’s girls basketball program.
Being a BVU alum, the move makes sense for Boettcher. The 2002 Beaver grad co-captained their girls basketball program during the 2001-2002 season and received the John Naughton Coaches award during her time as a player.
Boettcher racked up awards and wins during her five years as head coach at Panorama. She was a two-time IGCA Coach of the Year (2022, 2023), two-time WCAC Coach of the Year (2020, 2022, two-time Iowa Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year (2022, 2024), and was a coach during the 2023 Iowa Basketball Coaches Association Pizza Ranch All-Star Game. While adding those trophies to her cabinet, Boettcher posted a record of 111-16 as head coach.
