The ACGC baseball team (6-11) defeated West Central Valley (6-14) at home on Monday, June 22. The game was knotted up at 1-1 until the bottom of the sixth inning when ACGC rattled off three runs to take the lead and secure the win.
Thomas Skram went 2/3 with a double, a triple and two RBIs. William Skram and Cal Clark had one RBI each. Clark and Bryce Benda split time on the mound. Clark pitched four and one third innings, striking out five batters. Benda pitched two and two third innings, striking out three and earning the win.
The Chargers remain at home tonight, Tuesday, June 23, to face Woodward-Granger (8-9). The Chargers almost snapped a seven-game losing skid to W-G earlier this season, losing 9-8.
