No. 14 ACGC girls basketball (16-1) reappeared in the IGHSAU rankings on Thursday, Jan. 30.
ACGC vs. Ogden
On Tuesday, Jan. 28, ACGC hosted Ogden (1-16). The Chargers jumped out to a 31-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. All but one Charger scored at least two points in the game. Leading in scoring was Camdyn Richter with 17 points. Becca Littler with 16 points and Shay Lemke with 12 joined her in double-figure scoring. Richter, Lemke, Karli Kautzky and Stella Largent were pestering the Ogden offense, each grabbing three steals. Nora Langgaard led in rebounds with seven.
ACGC vs. Interstate 35
On Thursday, Jan. 30, ACGC hosted Interstate 35 (4-13). After scoring just 15 points in the first half, ACGC erupted in the second to lead to the blowout victory. Camdyn Richter continued to lead the team in scoring, this time with 21 points. Shay Lemke joined her in double figures with 11 points. Lemke nearly earned an unconventional double-double, with a game-high nine steals. Stella Largent nearly had a double-double herself with eight points and nine rebounds.
ACGC’s packed schedule continues next week with three games, all against teams above .500. The Chargers host West Central Valley (12-5) on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The Chargers will host Coon Rapids-Bayard (12-3) on Thursday, Feb. 6. ACGC will travel to Pleasantville (9-8) on Friday, Feb. 7.
