The Panorama baseball team (3-20) nearly pulled off an upset in the first round of the substate playoffs at home against Woodward-Granger (12-12) on Friday, July 3. The teams both scored one run in the first inning, where the game remained locked until the ninth inning when W-G scored to win the game and end the season for the Panthers.
Panorama had two hits in the game, both singles by Nolan Sheehy and Brody Steenblock. Hunter Kline scored the team’s lone run. Sheehy also pitched a lights-out game, striking out nine batters in seven innings of work, allowing zero hits.
