On Tuesday, Feb. 4, Panorama girls basketball (10-9) lost its away game to Woodward-Granger (11-8). Nerea Gimeno Perez led the Panthers in scoring with 15 points. Morgan Crees and Ruth Fett tied for second most with seven each. Panorama has struggled as of late, going 1-4 in its last five games. The team will have a big test tonight, Friday, Feb. 7, when the Panthers travel to the WCAC’s No. 1 team this season, No. 10 Des Moines Christian (16-3). These teams have almost evenly split since 2006, with Des Moines Christian holding a 17-15 lead in the series. DMC barely came away victorious in last year’s meeting, beating Panorama 41-40.
