The Panorama softball team (4-11) defeated ACGC (1-12) at home on Monday, June 16. The Panorama offense was rolling early and often in this one, leading to the 16-4 Panorama win.
“We did a great job coming out strong and hitting the ball hard, scoring four runs in the first inning,” Head Coach Ismael Galvan said. “The defense was able to keep them to one in the bottom half, and our bats continued to stay hot, scoring four runs in every inning ending up with the 16-4 win. Galvan threw well, striking out seven and walking four. I am proud of the fight from our team. Homeruns by White, Galvan and Steenblock were huge tonight. Steenblock ended the night with seven RBI’s and I could not be more happy with the energy, focus and mindset these Lady Panthers had tonight.”
Game two of the double header was stopped after the first inning, tied, 3-3. Galvan says a makeup date is not yet confirmed. The Panthers next game is at Woodward-Granger (11-4-1) on Tuesday, June 17.
