The Panorama volleyball team (5-10) nearly completed a miraculous comeback against West Central Valley (5-13) at home on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The Wildcats won the first two sets, 25-15 and 25-19. Panorama stormed back, dominating the next two sets, 25-11 and 25-10, to bring the score to 2-2. WCV won the decisive fifth set, 15-10.

Nerea Gimeno Perez led the team in assists with 10. Ashley Crees with nine kills, and Ruth Fett with seven kills, were her favorite targets. Elah Molloy was everywhere on defense with a game-high 23 digs. Gracie Recker made her presence at the net felt with four blocks. Gimeno Perez had a game-high 10 aces and went 24/25 serving the ball.

Panorama competes at the Madrid Volleyball Invite on Saturday, Oct. 4. Other teams at the competition will be Ankeny Christian, Des Moines East, Webster City, Earlham and Ogden.
