The Panorama softball team (9-19) lost its final regular season game at Glidden-Ralston (16-9) on Thursday, July 2.

“We played well enough to win, but the mental mistakes were the big difference in the game tonight. We had some good things happen, which is great, don’t get me wrong. But we didn’t execute, and it cost us. We will get it figured out and get ready for Woodward-Granger in the quarterfinals,” Head Coach Ismael Galvan said.

Panorama rallied to take a 4-3 lead after trailing for most of the game. G-R tied the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the sixth inning. Panorama scored in the top of the seventh to take the lead again, now 5-4. G-R scored twice in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off win.

Peyton Walker’s offense was crucial for Panorama, knocking in three RBIs while going 1/4 with a single. Bryan Wearmouth and Bridgete White had one RBI apiece. Lexi Galvan, White and Andrea Knode had multi-hit performances. Galvan and Knode split time on the mound, with Galvan striking out three batters in four innings of work.

The next game for the girls is the Class 2A Region 1 Quarterfinals at Woodward-Granger (14-14) on Wednesday, July 8. W-G won both games in a doubleheader earlier this season, 14-8 and 8-0.
