The Panorama softball team (1-4) picked up its first win of the season at IKM-Manning (2-3) on Wednesday, June 4. Bridgete White was stellar on offense for Panorama. She got on base each time she stepped to the plate with two walks, one single and one home run. Andrea Knode and Arilyan Steenblock contributed one RBI each. Knode and Lexi Galvan each had doubles.
Knode pitched all seven innings for Panorama and picked up the win. She only gave up two earned runs and struck out six batters. Panorama’s head coach, Ismael Galvan, was pleased with his team’s performance in their first win of the season.
“We did a great job of limiting our mistakes last night and moving on to the next play. Knode pitched well, and her teammates backed her up with solid defense. We hit the ball great, finding the holes, and it was a complete team win with great energy throughout from our squad,” Galvan said.
