Richter places 5th, Slaybaugh 6th at John J. Harris Invitational

ACGC boys wrestling traveled to Southwest Valley High School on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 24-25 to compete in the John J. Harris Invitational. Two Chargers placed in the tournament. Carter Richter won the fifth-place match at 190 against Sam McDonald of Winterset. Chase Slaybaugh lost in the fifth-place match at 120 to Kylen Parsons on Creston. Michael Fuller (215) won two matches in the competition. He defeated Travin Thomas of Atlantic and Jackson Allen of Riverside, Oakland. Angel Martinez (165) defeated Conner Williams of Clarke and Jayden Arnold of Lenox. Jack Sheeder earned a win over Gabriel Henningsen of Denison-Schleswig. Lane Stringer had wins over Kellen Oliver of Riverside, Oakland and Landon Kirtley of Panorama. The boys will travel to Perry tonight, Jan. 28, for a dual matchup against Perry.
