The Panorama girls cross country team had its first race of the season on Thursday, Aug. 27 at the Southeast Valley Invitational. Kylie Rochholz returned after last season ended with injuries to win the first event of the Panther season, finishing in 19:24, a full 30 seconds faster than the second-place runner. Panorama placed third at the meet with 85 points. Madrid won the meet with 38.
Other Panorama placements were Laicey Lutz, 14th in 22:52; Olivia Beaudet, 18th in 23:16; Nella Rivas, 28th in 24:42; Corrie Knapp, 41st in 25:54; Avery Allen, 67th in 28:36; and Alyssa Stanley, 72nd in 30:22.
The next meet for the girls is the Madrid Invite on Thursday, Sept. 3. Panorama will compete against BGM, Boone, Colo-Nesco, Earlham, Madrid, Ogden, Perry, Woodward Academy and Woodward-Granger.
