DASH! Panorama’s Hope Arganbright (left) and Maddie Knapp (right) race to the finish in the girls 100-meter dash during the West Central Activities Conference meet Tuesday, May 3 in Guthrie Center. Knapp finished ninth and Arganbright 10th overall.

THE FUN HAS STARTED. Last Friday, Donna Benton, Lorrie Stringham and Kenny Myers donned their period clothing for the city of Guthrie Center’s open house. They strolled the downtown area inviting people to the celebration.

BEST OF SHOW. A Pinewood Derby racer constructed by Andy Eckerman, right, won first-place show honors at the Panora Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby. Scott Klocke received the second-place trophy and Donnie Madison, absent for photo, had the third-place racer in the show division.
