PARENTS OF THE YEAR. The recipients of the first annual G.C. Chamber of Commerce “Parent of the Year” contest are Sandy and John Eivins of Guthrie Center. Their son, Garrett, a fifth grader, submitted the winning entry for his parents. Pictured with the happy family is Becky Larson, committee head, who presented the prizes worth $350. There were more than 100 entries.
