SOAKED SCOUTS. A fall camporee for approximately 400 Boy Scouts from central Iowa was hosted by St. Thomas More Catholic Youth Center at Lake Panorama Friday and Saturday. The camporee was rather uneventful, however, as more than 2 inches of rain washed out most of the activities. Many of the scouts and their leaders left Saturday morning. Others retreated to Vets Auditorium in Panora where their hosts were Panora scouts. Among those sticking out the periodic downpours were, from left, Brian Chestelson, Randy Light and Travis Armstrong, all of Grimes.
