TOURNAMENT CHAMPS. The Panorama Panthers eighth-grade girls won the Coon Rapids Lions Club Tournament Saturday. They beat Guthrie Center, 25-18, and Adair Casey, 38-26, to get first place. Point totals for the two games were Morgan Johnk with 26 points, Jamy Randol, 20, Olivia Richey, 8, Brooke Halterman, 6, Kennedy Kuta, 2, and Tasha Kirk, 1. The Panthers finished their tournament season with an impressive 13-5 record playing a lot of larger schools and AAU teams.

GCHS BOWLERS TO MUSCATINE. The Guthrie Center High School girls and boys bowling teams advanced to state competition in Muscatine April 22 due to their finishes in districts at Manning Sunday. The girls were first with 2,104 pins in a three-game scratch series, and the boys placed second with 2,460 pins in a three-game scratch series.
