On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 17 and 18, the city of Bagley and Stone Trucking are offering a free cleanup opportunity for Bagley residents only. There will be dumpsters available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Items accepted include appliances, iron, electronics, TVs, computers, batteries and other junk items. A tractor and loader will be available to assist anyone who needs help loading their items into the dumpsters.

Items not accepted include tires, concrete, oil, paint, chemicals, garbage, yard waste and any hazardous materials. Any questions can be directed to the city at 641-427-5600 or to Stone Trucking at 712-292-0819.

On Aug. 2, as part of the Panorama Days events, Reshape Fitness Studio partnered with Twin Vines Winery and Tripple Berry Farm to create a healthy and delicious experience. Seventeen people participated in the Wine & Yoga event. Sue Bump of Reshape explained.

“Wine & Yoga is a new tradition we wanted to start for Panorama Days weekend,” she said. “We have held Wine & Yoga at Twin Vines the past three years. We hold a Summer Series, which kicks off Memorial Day weekend and then we wrap up in September, typically around Labor Day weekend. We hold this class once a month at Twin Vines.”

Bump said they also brought in Tripple Berry Farm “for a fun charcuterie experience,” noting that they used all local meats, cheese and fruit to fill cups that paired perfectly with wine. She said Twin Vines had beer as an option as well.

Bump said the participants enjoyed the food and beverages, as well as the relaxing yoga session.

Join in the fun for Make and Take Art Projects at the Guthrie County Fair on Aug. 31 from 1-4 p.m. Classes are free and will be held in the Ron Eike Art Building.

Art on State is an art gallery created by the Guthrie County Arts Council as an opportunity to bring together the artists of the county, encouraging them in their talents by providing means to display and sell their work and to bring awareness of artistic endeavors to the community at large by presenting performing and visual arts programs.
