ACGC to perform ‘The Sound of Music’ April 25-27

ACGC students will offer three performances of the musical “The Sound of Music” at ACGC High School. Admission price is $8 for adults and $5 for students. Performances will be at 7 p.m.  on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 27.  Fifteen minutes prior to each performance, the Children’s Choir will sing.

Panorama School Board approves budget

During the April 14 meeting of the Panorama School Board, the board approved the Fiscal Year 2026 budget. The board also approved the Student Teacher Agreement, Concurrent Enrollment Contract, and Education Services between Panorama and Balance Autism.

The board heard a report on the elementary school’s “One School One Book” reading program that encourages students to read together at home.

An FFA overnight trip for horse judging was approved.

Upcoming dates noted included awards night/baccalaureate on May 14 at 6 p.m., seniors’ last day May 14, and graduation on May 18 at 1 p.m.

During the Good News portion of the meeting, the board heard about 46 bluebird and wren houses built by seventh graders using lumber donated by Lake Lumber. The birdhouses are being installed this week.

The next regular board meeting will be on May 12 at 5:30 p.m.

Chargers travel for Hal Rossow Invite today

The ACGC boys golf team will compete at the Hal Rossow Invite today, April 18, at Lake Panorama National Golf Course. ACGC will do battle against Audubon, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Interstate 35, Panorama, Webster City, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger.

ACGC girls place 5th at Charger Relays

The ACGC girls track and field team scored 46 points at the Charger Relays on Thursday, April 17. Martensdale-St Marys won the meet with 71 points. The distance medley team earned a silver medal, Caydence Boals won bronze in the shot put. ACGC will hit the track in Greene County next for the Ram Relays on Monday, April 21. The Chargers will compete against seven other teams.
