Panorama boys draw Tri-Center, 4-4

The Panorama boys soccer (2-13-1) snapped its losing streak with a draw at Tri-Center (4-8-2) on Tuesday, May 13. After going into halftime down, 2-0, the Panthers scored all four goals in the second half to secure the result. This will provide a solid morale boost before Panorama competes in its Substate 7 Round 1 matchup at PCM (3-9-1) on Tuesday, May 20.

Panthers rally to defeat No. 12 Tri-Cener, 5-4

A stunning comeback took place during Panorama girls soccer (12-4-1) win at No. 12 Tri-Center (11-2-3) on Tuesday, May 13. Panorama entered halftime down, 4-1. A four-goal second half and shutout of Tri-Center fueled Panorama to its best win of the season. Morgan Crees and Jessica Randol each scored two goals; Nerea Gimeno Perez added one. Assists came from Crees and Gimeno Perez. Goalkeeper Bridgette White had 11 saves. Panorama now enters the Class 1A Region 6 playoffs to face Underwood (8-2-2) at home on Wednesday, May 21. Panorama has not defeated the Eagles since 2019, losing games in 2021 and 2022. On the bright side, Morgan Crees’ 54 goals on the season is two more than Underwood’s total.

Panther boys place 10th at state qualifier

The Panorama boys track and field team score 25 points at the 2A state qualifying meet in Clarinda on Thursday, May 15. The boys did not have any automatic qualifiers at the meet. At-large bids will be announced later. The distance medley relay team of Hunter Kempf, Cruz Crandall, Syler Shaffer and Noah Poldberg came the closest to automatic qualification, placing fourth.

Panther girls place 6th at 2A State Qualifier, send 3 events to state meet

The Panorama girls track and field team scored 55 points at the 2A state qualifier meet in Clarinda on Thursday, May 15. Treynor won the meet by one point over Clarinda with 126 points. Those who placed first and second in events automatically qualify for the state meet. At-large bids will be announced later. Kylie Rochholz won gold in the 1,500-meter and 3,000-meter runs. The distance medley team of Faith Recker, Gracie Recker, Maddy Lutz and Rochholz also won gold to qualify. Gracie Recker earned bronze in the shot put as well. The state meet will be at Drake Stadium in Des Moines from May 22-24.

Crawmer shoots low score of 27

The Tuesday night league at Panorama West had 38 players on May 13. Trent Crawmer was low at even par 27. Brad Little made the longest putt. John Worth was closest to the pin. Bill Dahl needed only 13 putts.
