ACGC places 4th at Merritt-Charger Invitational, wins 2 events

The ACGC boys track and field team scored 71 points at its home meet, the Merritt-Charger Invitational, on Monday, May 12. Earlham won the meet with 109 points. The sprint medley relay team won gold, as did Mike Fuller in the shot put. The 4×100-meter relay team and Fuller in discus won silver. ACGC had top-10 placements in 16 events. The next meet for ACGC is the 1A state qualifier at Madrid High School on Thursday, May 15. ACGC will compete with AGWSR, Ankeny Christian, Audubon, CAM, Colo-Nesco, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Empigo, Glidden-Ralston, Madrid, Nodaway Valley, Paton-Churdan, South Hamilton, West Fork and Woodward Academy.

ACGC places 2nd at Panorama Coed Invite, wins 2 events

The ACGC boys track and field team scored 88 points at the Panorama Coed Invite on Thursday, May 8. Earlham won the meet with 130 points. Eli Madsen won gold in the 400-meter dash, as did the 4×110-meter shuttle hurdle relay team. Joe Crawford in the 100-meter dash, Tate Fever in the 200-meter dash and the 4×100-meter relay all won silver. Luke Brincks in the 100-meter dash, Dean Vela in the 200-meter dash, Gavin Sloss in the 800-meter run and Mike Fuller in the shot put and discus won bronze.

Panthers host Panorama Invite tonight

The Panorama girls golf squad hosts the Panorama Invite tonight, Tuesday, May 13. ACGC, Des Moines Christian, North Polk and Woodward-Granger will compete.

Panther golfers to compete at 2A state qualifier on Wednesday

The Panorama boys golf team will attempt to return to state at the 2A IHSAA Golf Sectional in the Kuemper District at Sac Country Club on Wednesday, May 14. Panorama will compete against East Sac County, Kuemper Catholic, Manson-NW Webster, Ogden, South Central Calhoun, Southeast Valley and Woodward-Granger. Panorama has won four of its last five meets heading into sectionals.

Panorama boys soccer drops 3 games

The Panorama boys soccer team (2-12) lost a pair of games in Creston on Saturday, May 10. Individual stats were not available for the Panthers as of press time. On Monday, May 12, the Panthers faced another tough test against Des Moines Christian (8-7-1). The Panthers look to bounce back away from home against Tri-Center (4-8-1), tonight, Tuesday, May 13. Tri-Center won last season’s matchup, 3-1. Before that, Panorama had won four straight against the Trojans.
