Panorama breezes past Perry on senior night, 6-2

The Panorama girls soccer team (6-2-1) defeated Perry (5-4-2) in its home matchup on Thursday, May 1. The game was close at the end of the first half, with Panorama up 2-1. The Panthers pulled away in the second half with four goals to Perry’s one, giving them the 6-2 win. Panorama travels to Denison High School on Saturday, May 3 for the Monarch Tournament. Panorama is scheduled to play Riverside (3-6-3) first. Treynor, Carroll, Sioux City North, East Sac County, Denison-Schleswig, Council Bluffs Lincoln and Riverside will compete at the tournament.

Panthers draw at Ballard, 2-2

The Panorama girls soccer team (5-2-1) drew at Ballard (2-6-2) on Tuesday, April 29. Each team scored one goal in each half. This ends the Panthers’ five-game winning streak. Morgan Crees and Jessica Randol scored Panorama’s goals. Randol also provided the team’s lone assist. 

Panorama places 4th at Gonzales/Parrish Invitational

The Panorama girls track and field team scored 75 points at the Gonzales/Parrish Invitational hosted by ACGC on Thursday, May 1. Greene County won the meet with 176. Several Panthers earned medals at the meet. The 4×800-meter relay team won gold. Maddy Lutz in the 400-meter dash and Kylie Rochholz in the 1,500-meter run earned silver. Emma Walker in discus earned bronze. The Panthers’ next meet will be its most important so far. Panorama competes in the West Central Activities Conference Meet, hosted by Des Moines Christian, on Tuesday, May 6.

Panthers place 5th at Bob Clark Relays; Rochholz sets meet record

The Panorama girls track and field team scored 66 points at the Bob Clark Relays in Audubon on Tuesday, April 29. Tri-Center won the meet with 184 points. Kylie Rochholz earned a gold medal for her record-setting meet time in the 3,000-meter run. Rochholz earned a silver medal in the 800-meter run, as did Gracie Recker in the shot put. Mary Fett earned a bronze in the 1,500-meter run, along with the sprint medley team of Leah Carstens, Gracie Recker, Faith Recker and Maddy Lutz.

Panorama finishes 7th at Gonzales/Parrish Invitational

The Panorama boys track and field team scored 33 points at the Gonzales/Parrish Invitational at ACGC on Thursday, May 1. Treynor won the meet with 140. Panorama’s 4×400-meter relay team won the group’s lone bronze medal of the day. Several other athletes came close. Corbin Deardorff placed fourth in the 400-meter dash, as did the sprint medley relay team and the 4×200-meter relay team. The boys next meet is a crucial one. It is the West Central Activities Conference Meet, hosted by Des Moines Christian on Tuesday, May 6.
