ACGC wins Bob Clark Relays; sets meet and school records

The ACGC boys track and field team scored 114 points to win the Bob Clark Relays in Audubon on Tuesday, April 29. The next closest team was Tri-Center with 90. ACGC set two records at the meet. Joe Crawford, Kade Sorensen, Dean Vela and Eli Madsen won gold in the 800-meter sprint medley, as did Crawford, Brexton Schneider, Sorensen and Madsen in the 4×100-meter relay. Both of these were school records. Schneider’s gold medal time in the 110-meter hurdles of 14.76 was a school record. Crawford, Talon Noland, Luke Brincks and Sorensen in the 4×200-meter relay, and Morgun Nolte, Tate Fever, Thomas Skram and Schneider in the 4×110-meter shuttle hurdle also set records but earned silver medals. Vela in the 200-meter run, Fever in the 400-meter run and Mike Fuller in discus and shot put also earned silver medals. Eli Madsen in the 200-meter run earned a bronze medal.

Panorama places 5th at Woodward Granger Girls Golf Invitational

The Panorama girls golf team competed against six other teams at Woodward Golf Club on Thursday, May 1. Panorama shot a 443 to place fifth. Host Woodward-Granger won the meet shooting 378. Mallory Polito of Woodward-Granger had the best 18-hole score of the day with an 80. Panorama’s best round came from the clubs of Hanna Smith who shot a 98, sixth best of all individuals. The next meet for the girls will be the West Central Activities Conference Meet on Monday, May 1 at Woodward Golf Club.

Panthers place 3rd at home triangular

The Panorama girls golf team shot a 245 to place third at the WCAC triangular at Lake Panorama National Golf Course on Tuesday, April 29. Ogden won the meet and had the best individual score of the day from Laurell Schlenker who shot a 52. Panorama’s best score came from Hanna Smith, who shot a 58.

Panorama wins WCAC triangular at home

The Panorama boys golf team won its home quadrangular against Pleasantville and Ogden on Tuesday, April 29. Panorama shot a 168, beating second place Pleasantville by just three strokes. Pleasantville’s Luka Klootwyk had the best nine-hole score of the day, shooting a 39. Cole Carstens and Bayden Galvan tied for the second best round of any individual golfer at the meet, shooting 41s. Parker Cary joined them in the top five, shooting 42. The results from the boys meet at Coon Rapids were not available as of press time. The next competition for the boys is the West Central Activities Conference Golf Meet on Tuesday, May 6.

Panthers fall to No. 9 Perry, 10-0

The Panorama boys soccer team (2-6) hosted No. 10 Perry (7-1-3) for its senior night on Thursday, May 1. Panorama surrendered eight goals in the first half and two in the second. The Panthers next test is against another ranked opponent: No. 6 Van Meter (7-1-1), on Saturday, May 3. This game was postponed from April 24.
