Panthers’ slow start costs them against Ogden, 15-4

By Cyote Williams | Times Vedette

The Panorama softball team (3-8) hosted Ogden (7-5) on Tuesday June 10. A rough first inning put the Panthers in a hole they were unable to get out of despite performing well the rest of the contest.

“It was a rough start for us tonight,” Head Coach Ismael Galvan said. “We didn’t make some plays that would have gotten us out of the first inning, giving up only a couple runs. After the first inning, it was a 5-4 ball game to the end. The girls kept their heads up and kept battling, never giving in. Proud of the effort and look to hopefully bounce back in our next contest.”

Hannah Dishman led the way on offense with two RBIs thanks to her single base hit. Bridgete Ewing knocked in another run for the Panthers. Andrea Knode and Arilyan Steenblock each tallied two hits and scored two runs. Knode pitched all four innings for Panorama, striking out one batter.
