By Cyote Williams | Times Vedette

The ACGC boys golf team competed at a quad meet hosted by Madrid on Monday, April 6. ACGC shot a 199 as a team, which pleased Head Coach Lori McGivney. ACGC’s Sayer Bireline-Huss quickly returned to form from last season, placing fifth overall, shooting a 39.

“My goal was to be under 200 for the opener, and we did accomplish that. Adjusting to competition and green speed, as well as playing in very cold conditions, provided a lot of new challenges for the unseasoned players. They handled it well,” McGivney said.

FULL ACGC NINE-HOLE SCORES:

  • Sayer Bireline-Huss: fifth, 39
  • Ryne Noland: 13th, 49
  • Easton Gettler: 19th, 55
  • Ryan Martens: 21st, 56
  • Preston Kent: 22nd, 58
  • Cash Suhr: 23rd, 59

CEO/GM of Panora Fiber Andy Randol said, “Panora Fiber is incredibly proud that Paul was selected for the 2025-2026 Leadership Academy hosted by the Iowa Communications Alliance. Brewster participated in a competitive application process designed for those who wish to grow their leaderships skills and who wish to fulfill a leadership role.
