Panorama girls’ golf meet vs. ADM cancelled

The Panorama girls golf was set to host ADM at home on Thursday, April 9 but was cancelled due to weather. The Panthers next meet is a WCAC meet at Jester Park Golf Course, hosted by Des Moines Christian on Monday, April 13. Panorama will golf against DM-C, Interstate 35 and West Central Valley.

Panorama boys golf place 6th at Des Moines Christian Invite

The Panorama boys golf team shot 343 to place sixth at the Des Moines Christian Invite on Thursday, April 9. Atlantic won the meet shooting 304. Individual scores for Panorama athletes were not available as of press time.

The boys have a quick turnaround and compete again today, Friday, April 10 in the Kuemper Triangular at Carroll National Golf Club. The Panthers golf against Kuemper Catholic and Webster City.

Panorama boys and girls track compete at Ram Early Bird today

The Panorama boys and girls track and field teams travel to Greene County for the Ram Early Bird today, Friday, April 10. The girls compete against CAM, Earlham, East Sac County, Forest City, Greene County, Madrid, Manson-NW Webster, Ogden, Paton-Churdan, Southeast Valley and St. Edmond.

The boys compete against CAM, East Marshall, East Sac County, Forest City, Greene County, Manson-NW Webster, Ogden, Paton-Churdan, Southeast Valley and West Marshall.

Panorama hires Demers as new dean of students and head football coach

Panorama announced the hiring of Jim Demers as its new dean of students and head football coach.

“From the start, it was clear to me that Panorama is a place with great people, great pride and a commitment to students. I’m excited to get to work and make a positive impact both in the school and through the football program,” Demers said.

Demers comes to Panorama with previous coaching experience and is a member of the Buena Vista Athletic Hall of Fame, earning four letters in both football and basketball. As a football player, he was a first team all-conference selection in 1990 and named Beavers Offensive MVP.

Dahlhauser promoted to Panorama’s Head Girls Basketball Coach

Panorama announced the promotion of Aly Dahlhauser from assistant to head coach of the Panorama girls basketball team.

“Aly has been a dedicated and familiar face on the Panorama bench for the past seven seasons and has seen a lot of success while in that role. We couldn’t be more excited to see her step into this leadership role. Her commitment to our student-athletes and our Panther community makes her the perfect fit to lead our program forward,” Superintendent Kasey Huebner said.

Panorama had been led by Randy Miller for the past two seasons, going 20-26 during his time at the helm. Panorama is still only two seasons removed from a state final birth.
