The Panorama baseball team (3-17) lost at home to Ogden (12-15) on Monday, June 29. Ogden scored six runs in the first inning to put the game out of the Panthers reach. Nolan Sheehy pitched four innings, striking out five batters. Mason Meinecke pitched one inning, striking out two. The boys travel to I-35 (21-9) tonight, Tuesday, June 30 for a doubleheader. Panorama split last season’s doubleheader against the Roadrunners, winning 7-3 and losing 10-0.

The Panorama softball team (9-16) lost at home to Ogden (19-14) on Monday, June 29. Ogden led for the entirety of the game despite some solid Panorama offense. Individual statistics were not available as of press time. The next games for the girls are in a doubleheader tonight at I-35 against No. 2 Interstate 35 (22-7). I-35 won both games last season, 15-3 and 11-3.

The ACGC softball team (5-19) fell late at Madrid (19-13) on Monday, June 29. ACGC held a one-run lead until the sixth inning, when Madrid scored all four of its runs. Individual statistics were not available as of press time. The next games for the girls are tonight, Tuesday, June 30 in a doubleheader at No. 5 Van Meter (25-6). Van Meter won both games against the Chargers last season, 10-0 and 21-0.

The ACGC baseball team (8-13) lost at Madrid (10-15) on Monday, June 29. Madrid scored all four of its runs by the third inning. ACGC scored two runs in the fifth to make it a close game but could not complete the comeback. All three RBIs came from William Skram, who went 3/3 with a single, double and triple. Blaize Dorset pitched five innings, striking out four batters. Bryce Benda pitched one inning, striking out two.

The next game for the Chargers is tonight, Tuesday, June 30 in the form of a doubleheader at Van Meter (17-11). Van Meter won both games against ACGC last season, 12-2 and 13-1.

On June 23, a total of 54 women participated. In the A Group, Emily Spradling was the low scratch winner with 32. The second low scratch winner was Ai Dunlop with 34. The HDCP winners were Julie Rose, Emily Spradling and Jolene Wright with 24. The special event was longest putt on No. 7, won by Emily Spradling. Ai Dunlop, Kelli Koeningsberg and Emily Spradling had the fewest putts with 16.

In the B Group, the low scratch winners were Patti Kliegl and Audrey Sunner with 39. The second low scratch winner was Mary Kay O’Grady with 41. The HDCP winner was Audrey Sunner with 22. The special event was longest putt on No. 7, won by Paulette Chambers. Audrey Sunner had the fewest putts with 14.

Karen Bump, Emily Spradling and Patti Kliegl each had one birdie. Kelli Koeningsberg and Carol VanKirk both had one chip-in. There were 38 pars.

The ACGC softball team (5-18) swept Earlham (5-23) in a home doubleheader on Thursday, June 25. ACGC won game one, 7-2, and won game two in five innings, 14-6. Individual stats were not available as of press time. The girls next game is at Madrid (16-13) on Monday, June 29. ACGC lost to Madrid earlier this season, 9-3, but did split the season series with the Tigers the last two seasons.
