Panorama boys place 3rd at Hal Rossow Invitational

The Panorama boys golf team shot a 336 as the host of the Hal Rossow Invitational on Friday, April 17. Knoxville won the meet, shooting 315. Martensdale-St Marys’ Slade White was the medalist, shooting a 72. Panorama’s best score on the day came from the clubs of Bryce Dawes, who placed fifth, shooting a 77.

The next-best Panorama scores were Brayden Galvan, who placed 13th, shooting 85; Cole Carstens, who placed 25th, shooting 89; Mason Cates, who placed 29th, shooting 96 and Jaxson Stauffer, who placed 40th, shooting 97.

The next meet for the boys is a conference quad hosted by Woodward-Granger on Thursday, April 23. Panorama hits the links against ACGC, Interstate 35 and W-G.

Panther boys and girls compete at Wildcat Invitational on Thursday

The Panorama girls track and field team travel to West Central Valley on Thursday, April 23 for the Wildcat Invitational. The Panorama girls compete against ACGC, Ankeny Christian, CAM, Van Meter, WC-V and Woodward-Granger. The boys compete against those teams, plus Glidden-Ralston and ADM.

Panorama girls soccer defeats No. 7 Kuemper Catholic, 3-1

The Panorama girls soccer team (3-0) earned a ranked win over No. 7 Kuemper Catholic (2-2-1) on Friday, April 17 at Kuemper. The Knights went into halftime with a 1-0 lead, but the Panthers came out of the break strong, scoring three goals to seal the victory. 

The girls have another tough test tonight, Tuesday, April 21, away from home against No. 5 Treynor (6-0). Treynor leads the historical series between these teams 3-0, but the two have not faced each other since 2021.

Charger boys golf places 10th at Hal Rossow Invitational

The ACGC boys golf team shot a combined 408 at the Hal Rossow Invitational hosted by Panorama on Friday, April 17. Knoxville won the meet, shooting 315. Martensdale-St Marys Slade White was the medalist, shooting a 72.

Sayer Bireline Huss cracked the top 10, placing 10th, shooting an 81. Huss was one of two sophomores to finish in the top 10. Preston Kent had the next-best score for ACGC, shooting 105. Easton Gettler shot 108, Ryne Noland 116 and Ryan Martens 132.

The next meet for the boys is at the Woodward Golf Club for a conference quad on Thursday, April 23. ACGC golfs against Interstate 35, Panorama and Woodward-Granger.

Charger girls finish 5th at Ram Relays

The ACGC girls track and field team hit the blocks at the Ram Relays at Greene County on Monday, April 20. ACGC scored a combined 125 points at the meet between girls and boys. Carroll won the meet with 248.

Cadence Petersen won both of the ACGC girls medals that evening. She earned silver in the high jump and bronze in the 400-meter hurdles. The next-closest placements for ACGC came from Becca Littler in shot put, placing fourth. Brooklyn Shaffer in the 400-meter dash and the 4×400-meter team placed fifth. The next meet competition for the girls is the Wildcat Invitational hosted by West Central Valley on Thursday, April 23. ACGC competes against Ankeny Christian, CAM, Panorama, Van Meter, WC-V and Woodward-Granger.
