Panthers fall in doubleheader vs. Woodward-Granger, 8-0 and 14-8

The Panorama softball team (5-11) hosted a doubleheader against Woodward-Granger (9-8) on Tuesday, June 16. Panorama was unable to get on the board in the first game but knocked in eight runs in game two. Individual stats were unavailable for the contests.

Chargers lose both to No. 12 Pleasantville, 9-2, 8-2, travel to Griswold tonight

The ACGC softball team (3-15) was swept in its doubleheader at No. 12 Pleasantville (9-7) on Thursday, June 18. Individual statistics were not available as of press time. ACGC did momentarily lead game one, scoring two runs in the first inning. Pleasantville answered back with three runs and held onto the lead. In game two, the Chargers scored two runs in the sixth inning to avoid the shutout.

The girls travel to Griswold (11-2) tonight, Friday, June 19, for their fifth game this week.

Chargers drop game to Ogden, 9-2

The ACGC softball team (3-13) competed at Ogden (12-10) on Tuesday, June 16. ACGC tied the game, 1-1, in the top of the third. Ogden answered back with four runs in the fourth to put the game out of reach. Karli Kautzky and Caydence Boals had one RBI apiece to contribute to the Charger offense, both with doubles. Jerzee Huss and Megan Underwood split time on the mound with Huss striking out two batters and Underwood striking out three.

ACGC swept in doubleheader vs. Pleasantville, 16-0, 13-0, face West Central Valley on Monday

The ACGC baseball team (5-11) traveled to Pleasantville (20-1) for a doubleheader on Thursday, June 18. The Chargers managed two hits against the defending state champions in game one with singles by Blaize Dorsey and William Skram. Game two stats were not available as of press time.

The next game for the Chargers is at home against West Central Valley (6-13) on Monday, June 22. ACGC lost a close game against WCV earlier this season, 5-4. The last three games between these squads have been decided by three runs or less.

ACGC falls to Ogden, 8-4

The ACGC baseball team (5-9) lost at Ogden (10-9) on Tuesday, June 16. ACGC scored two runs in the sixth inning to try and kick-start a comeback but ultimately fell short. ACGC had no RBIs but had five singles by Joseph Fagan, Chase Slaybaugh, Cal Clark, Bryce Benda and Sayer Bireline-Huss. Blaizey Dorsey and Colton Clark split time on the mound. Dorsey struck out four batters in four innings, Clark struck out one batter in two innings.

Smith, Ganske shoot low score

A total of 34 golfers participated in the Tuesday night men’s league on June 16 at Lake Panorama West Golf Gourse. Ryan Smith and Jay Ganske both shot one over par 28 for the lowest score. Jason Wolf made the longest putt. Dave Minturn was closest to the pin. Bill Pierce needed only 12 putts. The team of Chip Hansen, Jay Ganske, Dave Minturn, Phil Rivera and Andrew Anthofer won the scramble with a score of 5 under par.
