The ACGC cross country team was set to run at the West Central Valley meet on Thursday, Oct. 1, but the competition was cancelled. The next meet for the Chargers is at Glenwood on Monday, Oct. 5. ACGC will run against Arlington, Buena Vista High Omaha, Clarinda, Council Bluffs Jefferson, Council Bluffs Lincoln, Des Moines Lincoln, Fort Calhoun, Glenwood and South High Omaha.

The ACGC football team (4-1) had the longest running regular season win streak in the state snapped against Madrid last Friday, Sept. 25. The Chargers will look to avenge that loss when they take on Danville (4-1) tonight, Friday, Oct. 2. The game will be played in Oskaloosa due to field conditions. Notes on the game provided by ACGC can be found HERE.These teams have not faced each other before. ACGC will have to deal with prolific sophomore QB Hayden Russell, who has 1,087 yards, nine passing TDs, 301 rushing yards and four rushing TDs.

The ACGC volleyball team (24-5) played in three games at a Panorama quad on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The Chargers earned wins against Panorama (7-7), 2-1 and against South Central Calhoun (12-13), 2-0, and one loss against Greene County (12-6), 2-1. After the event, the team celebrated Kailee Kautzky passing 500 assists.

ACGC beat host Panorama in three sets. Kailee Kautzky led in assists with 32, most of them going to Stella Largent, who had 28 kills. Ilana Baumert led in digs with 17. Largent was close behind with 16. Blair Brown and Baumert led in aces with three apiece.

A dominant first set, a close loss in the second set, and a final loss in the third set saw ACGC’s winning streak snapped at six games. Kautzky led in assists with 20 and Largent led in kills with 21. Nora Langgaard led in blocks with three. Baumert led in digs with 15. Kautzky also led in aces with two.

ACGC rebounded after the loss to win in two sets over the Titans. Kautzky again led in assists with 17, and Largent led in kills with 13. Langgaard again rose up on defense with three blocks. Largent led in digs with 13, and Kautzky hit double digits with 10. Brown and Baumert led in aces with two apiece.
The next set of games for the Chargers is the Greene County Volleyball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 3. Other teams at the event will be Carlisle, Carroll, Greene County, Nodaway Valley, South Hardin, Stanton and Van Meter.

The Panorama boys cross country team placed 13th, scoring 338 points on Monday, Sept. 28 at the Ogden Cross Country Meet. Riverside won the meet with 49 points. Owen Fenner won the meet in 16:35. The highest Panther finish was by Bennett Allen, who placed 39th in 19:22.
The next meet for the boys is the 2026 Jim Klein Cross Country Invitational, hosted by South Hamilton on Thursday, Oct. 8. Panorama will compete against 15 other teams.

The No. 20 Panorama girls cross country team competed at the Ogden Cross Country Meet on Monday, Sept. 28. Panorama placed seventh, scoring 152 points. Madrid won the meet overall with 70 points. Panorama’s No. 4 Kylie Rochholz won the event and broke the school record for fastest time ran by a female at any course in school history in 18:51. She breaks the record held by herself, which she set just last week at the ACGC meet.
The next meet for the girls is the 2026 Jim Klein Cross Country Invitational, hosted by South Hamilton on Thursday, Oct. 8. Panorama will compete against 15 other teams.

The Panorama volleyball team (7-6) traveled to South Hamilton last night for a quadrangular. Panorama picked up wins over Forest City (7-14), 2-0, and conference foe Madrid (5-9), 2-1, and lost against South Hamilton (12-11), 2-1. Individual stats were not available as of press time.
The girls host a quadrangular tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 29. The girls welcome a trio of above .500 opponents, facing ACGC (22-4), South Central Calhoun (12-10) and Greene County (10-6).
